Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer is a famous tourist destination of Rajasthan.Its located in the Thar desert.Rao Jaisal founded this city.Sonar fort is the main attraction of the city.its made of yellow stone.during the day time when sun rays reflects the walls of this fort,its look like a golden fort.thats why its called 'Sonar fort'.
it has four gateways.there are many 'Hawelis'inside the fort and main are 'Patwon ki haweli' and 'Saleem singh ki haweli'.
other points are-Badabagh,Jain temple,Gadsisar lake & Desert park.
Jaisalmer is famous for its Sand dunes and camel ride.tourists come here to see the sunrise and sunset view.

Jaisalmer is well connected by road and railways.the famous 'Palace on wheels'train's major station is Jaisalmer.the nearest airport is in Jodhpur.
best time to visit is between september to march.summer is extreme here beween april to june.
